Career and volunteer fire crews at 51 fire stations throughout the Halifax Region provide a full range of emergency services including: fire suppression, rescue, technical rescue, hazardous materials response (including chemical, biological, radioactive, nuclear, explosive) and pre-hospital emergency medical services

Burning Restrictions & By-Laws

Burn Restrictions are updated at 2:00 pm daily.  The 2018 fire-risk season will start March 15th, 2018. Please check back daily then for permission to burn.
